SARAH SIDWELL PHOTOGRAPHY . BRAND DEVELOPMENT . DRAFT 1
Soft and elegant yet strong brand identity for a wedding and portrait photographer in Tennessee, capturing real memories for couples and families,
Brides in their mid 20's - 30's and Moms in their late 20's - 40's who value photography and see the importance of the investment in these memories. Easy going and comfortable expressing love. You might find them to be frequent shoppers of stores like Anthropologie, West Elm, Target, J. Crew, Whole Foods, and stores of the like.
I aimed for the medium of an elegant but warm type script font with a fluctuation in the flow of thickness and a serif font to bring in the more timeless feel to the design. I did not include any type of embellishment or icon as to not distract and take away from the timeless look of simple typographic logo style.
MAIN LOGO DESIGN
Dark blue is associated with depth, expertise, and stability while light blue has a sense of calm and tranquility. Gray as it is sends a message of long-lasting, classic and refined. The touch of gold brings in a high-quality and luxury feel to the brand.
Horizontal Logo Variation
[These are generally important to have as not all materials/situations will call for the original more vertical logo design so rather than having to decrease the size of the original logo this alternative can be used.]
[Even if not widely used, it is always a good idea to have a round version of your brand/logo as some formats require this type of shape (ie: website Favicons etc.)]
I know you had said you were not a fan of round logos, wasn't sure if that included this type of submark design or not - if we need/want to switch this up to something else/another shape we can totally do that too!
[I feel like this simple but elegant design with definitely communicate the timeless look you are going for.
